Bridal Shower - or a visit to Mars

Went to this bridal shower today and haven't felt so out of place for quite a while. The bride's family is interesting, a mix of white trash with some Mafia connections, and being around those women felt like being on another planet. Planet manicure, hairstyle, shoes, fake tan and tacky jewelery is just not mine. Although it was fun visiting for an afternoon it felt great to come home and have a beer with normal people!
