Bin-Jip

A movie with hardly any words, but such a powerful story! Kim Ki-duk makes such wonderful movies! I loved Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter and Spring, but Bin-Jip just made my day! It's great to leave the theater happy, thinking you've just spent €5,50 the best way possible! One of those movies you don't want to talk after it is finished, just keep a smile in your face and walk home happily! Wish my mom would be able to sit in the car without speaking...

German efficiency

I LOVE Germany when it comes to getting things done! Went to the city of Obernburg today to get a new ID, a new passport and the information what I need to bring to have my marriage certificate from the US be recognized here. I had a waiting time of 0 minutes, filled out a really simple application for both the ID and the passport and left the office after 20 minutes with a list of three simple things to bring for the German marriage certificate. Trying to imagine how much time I would spend as an American citizen in NY doing the same thing! Standing in line at the DMV forever to get my state ID - probably getting lots of shit for applying for a new one months after the old one had expired, going to the post office, standing in line again to get my passport and I don't even have a clue what to do to get an american official recognize my marriage certificate from abroad! I will get my new passport 72 hours from now; I just need to bring three documents and will leave that office with the German marriage certificate. Love it, love it, love it!!!
